Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get ear wax removal at home?

Yes. We provide ear wax removal by microsuction and this can be done in the comfort of your own home, a care home or in a sheltered accommodation.

I think my hearing is not as good as it was, can you check?

Yes. We can carry out a full hearing assessment either in the comfort of your own home or in one of our clinics. We can then let you know how your hearing is and if you would benefit from ear wax removal or perhaps a hearing aid.

What if I need a hearing aid?

We can complete a full hearing assessment for you, then if required, fit and supply a hearing aid to meet your exact needs. There are a range of hearing aids available depending on your needs and budget.  We can discuss the options and supply the perfect hearing aid for you.

How can I request a home visit?

Very simple, just give us a call or send us an email. You do not need to be referred.

Are there any eligibility requirements for a home visit?

No. Outside of the hospital hearing care is private in Northern Ireland. The simplest way to chat through what you need and discuss the cost is to give us a call.

What should I expect during ear wax removal?

Whether you are at home, in a care home or coming into one of our clinics, wax removal is the same. Using the latest micro-suction techniques we can simply and easily remove your wax.

What should I expect during a hearing test?

Our hearing assessment is a comprehensive examination conducted by our audiologist to evaluate your hearing. The assessment typically involves a series of tests designed to measure various aspects of your hearing, including sensitivity to different frequencies, speech recognition, and the ability to hear in noisy environments.

What about aftercare?

We are available for aftercare both at home and in our clinics. Depending on your needs we can arrange regular reviews for ear wax or follow up appointments for your hearing aids.

What about batteries?

If you have bought a hearing aid from us they will include a battery bundle for the lifespan of the hearing aid.  More and more hearing aids are re-chargable which is much better for the environment and saves fiddling with tiny batteries.
